Oh gosh! That's annoying. People always assume DS is a girl if he is in neutral clothes!

@Mrs. Yoyo: I used to have the opposite reaction! Everyone thought DD was a little boy until almost a year old!

PS - I need to visit soon, I need to squidge some chubs. ;)

We got/get the same thing in reverse. DS1 was in a blue outfit with airplanes and a bellhop could not stop cooing, "Preeeeetty giiiiirl!" at him, ha. I just laugh.

And DS2, well, I gotta admit, I would probably think girl initially too!

Yeesh. I get boy comments sometimes, but it's usually when she's wearing neutral colours/clothes, and she's in the beco (so you can't see much of her).

Why can't people just say "what a pretty baby!" and leave it at that.

I had an old lady in the grocery store yesterday telling me how cute HE is. I kept just responding with she but she didn't get it. To be fair I don't think c looks super girly and she was wearing gray and orange, so I let it slide.

My uncle is color blind, and loves to say things like this to his nieces/nephews when they're particularly decked out in pink/blue.

I get the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone told me once how handsome my son was when we were on a plane. I had her in a gap outfit - offwhite and teal striped with BOWS on the side. WUT?

Omg I don't get how this happens! People say that to my LO when she is wearing a big bow in her hair and I'm screaming her very girly name. Sigh. SMH.

Umm, and she was wearing pink?! People often thought LO was a boy when she was younger, but then I dressed her in a lot of gender neutral colours. Still, if you're not 100% sure, why would you guess at gender?

Everyone thinks my second daughter is a boy, and I generally laugh when strangers say things like, "Oh, he's so cute!" I chuckle and kindly correct them and we all have a nice friendly laugh.

But. Yesterday I was at the grocery store holding DD2. She was wearing pink pants, white top, pink hoodie, and pink socks. I could not have made her look MORE girly. Then a stranger asked, "What a pretty boy!"

WHAT the WHAT?!?!?! *punch in the face*
