I agree that it was the worst for about two days. Then better, especially with ibuprofen.

@muffinsmuffins: @winniebee: Thanks, ladies. He did a couple longer chunks after this (45 minute ones, but with just shorter bouts of crying in between). He is now up and playing (and perfectly happy...wtf?) Hoping naps today might be okay.

DS1 was 10m when he got it. There were I think 2 nights when he literally did not sleep at all. Then I want to say a week of some night wakings, but nothing like the initial onslaught. I don't remember what happened for naps.

It really, really sucks. But, our son had it pretty bad and had 2 nights that were terrible, no sleep for anyone nights. Then 2 nights of a couple wake ups, then mostly back to his normal no wake up nights. Day sleep was awful for all 4 days I think, so had to use the carrier for naps. Good luck!

How long was sleep a disaster? It's now 230 am and DS2 (10 months) hasn't slept more than two 20-minute naps, both while I walked around with him in a carrier. Last night wasn't quite this bad, but it wasn't much better. I don't know how much longer I can function on no sleep. Luckily DS1 has healed and can go back to preschool in the morning, but I can't count on a good nap anyway. I mostly wanted to whine, but would love to hear your stories of miraculous healing...
