D has Hand, Foot, and Mouth and it is Hell on Earth. He will barely eat (yogurt is about the only thing he'll tolerate, and that's spotty), drinking is sporadic, and sleep? Total crap. His is mostly concentrated in his mouth - he has ulcers all over his tongue. So he's fully mouth-breathing and not swallowing his saliva, so he's drooling everywhere. For the first time EVER (he's 15 months), he has to wear a bib constantly. Last night he really didn't sleep for more than 1-2 hours at a time, and it took 30-60 minutes to get him back down. Needless to say, Mama is tired today! The ped said there isn't really anything we can do, other than alternate ibuprofin and Tylenol every 3 hours. Anyone else have any tips? He's a paci user, but he's not taking them cuz it hurts - I even tried putting them in the fridge so they're cold and soothing on his sores, but no. So on the positive, maybe we can paci-wean in the process? But seriously. Help? He's so miserable. </p>
