Friday no more fever/aches but horrible sore throat. Couple blisters on my hands in the morning and they multiplied all day. Saturday super painful blisters and sore throat. Sunday less sore throat and blisters slightly less sore. Noticed some on my feet. By Monday I went back to work, no new hand blisters, sore throat almost gone. Today, 10 days after it started, no pain and feeling fine other than my hands are peeling and gross! Throat and hands were worst for me too. I had bought Popsicles for him but ate a bunch myself! Smoothies and ice water. Nothing else helped. My blisters started fading last weekend but my hands are still peeling. I had the worse flu symptoms for 1 day, super painful blisters and sore throat for 2-3 days and then dramatically better. My son cried and wouldn't eat for 4-5 days but the sores didn't seem to bother him much, just his mouth and throat (hence no eating) it was honestly pretty awful so good luck to you! I hope it fades quickly.</p> <p>ETA: I should add my DW didn't catch it despite caring for both of us with it. She got mild cold symptoms around the same time but no blisters or sore throat. I had spots everywhere, the worst sore throat, and no energy. It took about a week and a half to feel 100% again. On Thursday I thought I was getting the flu that was going around my office but if the spots on my hands are any indication, I also have hand foot mouth. My hands and throat hurt so much.</p> <p>Does anyone have experience with HFM as an adult? DD2 doesn't seem super phased but I am in so much pain I can't swallow or talk. </p>
