My husband and I both got HFM from my daughter the second time she had it...it was a weird strain and we had the same pattern as her, no symptoms on hands or feet but sores in the mouth. Our ped actually didn't think it was HFM but the other daycare parents said their peds confirmed it as HFM.

My husband got it from DD, and he was very similar to @brady80. He had them terribly in his throat and got a very high fever. He described it as "the worst sore throat he's ever had in his life." He couldn't eat for a few days, even though he was starving. He got a few on his hands and feet, but they were really pale.

@delight: watch, yours Los have both at the same time! :) I did read that impetigo likes to take advantage of weakened areas of skin.

I caught HFM from my daughter last summer. I didn't get any sores on my body but had them in my throat! I was exhausted and had a high fever. My husband didn't get it, but had it as a child ( I did not). I went to the doctor but as you know, there isn't much they can do for you. I hope you feel better soon

@Mrs Green Grass: I was wondering about that too. Just seems coincidental to get something at the same time she had HFM! I'm off to google impetigo too.

Impetigo? I just looked it up because Lo has 3 small red spots under his nose.

@Adira: @Thenetexan: @MamaG: @gracecat: @petunia354: thanks for weighing in ladies. I am really not positive that my nose blisters are HFMD related. However they coincide with the timing of my DDs HFMD. Some of the other parents have caught it too but no one seems to have it on this nose. My three spots started out as little red dots, I thought it was just acne, but have progressed into sores. Ugh. They aren't painful anymore but they are making me self conscious. If anyone else has an idea what this could be I'd appreciate input.

I had it worst on my hands and feet but I did get a few blisters around my mouth, mostly in the chin area. It was awful.....I hope you've been spared the worst!

Sorry I haven't heard of anyone with it around their nose, just inside their mouth/throat. I caught it once from my DD, I didn't get it on my face but on my forearms and around my knees.

My husband had it after our girl. His was awful. Started with a low grade fever and cold symptoms. His palms and feet were covered. He also had it in and around his mouth. If you have it there's nothing really to do other than manage the pain.

It is possible for adults to catch it, if it is a strain they haven't been exposed to previously. My husband and I got it once. It was awful, but there is nothing you can do about it. We had a sore throat first, no mouth blisters. My feet were worse, my husband's hands were worse. Both of our faces were spared.

I had HFM when Xander had it, but I had blisters on my fingers and toes. Nothing on my nose, so my guess would be you have something else.

Has anyone here caught HFMD from their ŁO? Our DD and the 5 kids at daycare caught it last week. This week I've been feeling run down and notice 3 blisters on the outside of my nose. Nothing on my hands, feet or mouth. Could this be a symptom? I don't want to rush to the doctor If it is nothing to worry about and will clear up in a few days. I wasn't sure if this disease could manifest itself as sores on the nose.
