I'm very fortunate that my grad school education and clinic work focused a lot on literacy and language. I currently work with 3 and 4 year olds that have profound speech delays (but typical in all other areas) and unfortunately a lot of these kids end up with reading and language difficulties in 1st-2nd grade.
