Same as everyone else and I feel them in my butt, too, depending on baby's position! I don't remember when I first felt them, but I do know that I had the same question you did, but I knew it when I felt it.

As others have said, they are really rhythmic, they feel like a constant popping or tapping. They started out very soft, and now my belly moves when he gets them! Sometimes he gets them several times a day. I probably started noticing them around 28 weeks? I can't remember exactly.

Everything the PPs have said. Rhythmic, heartbeart-like steady motions. I love baby hiccups and I'll be sad after he's born to not feel them anymore :)

Yes, it was very rhythmic. It was like a constant heartbeat but a little harder than that. I loved it when my kids hiccuped in utero. It's cool seeing them hiccup now too. Brings back warm and fuzzy memories.

Agree that they are heartbeat like-- I had to feel my pulse in my neck to make sure it wasn't the same beat (ie, that i wasn't just feeling a crazy pulse in my belly, which has tricked me before). I'm 30 weeks and I just noticed them for the first time this weekend.

Just as described by PPs, very rhythmic, and for me, almost predictable! My the third tri, I could expect LO to get hiccups at least once a day (right around 3 p.m.). :)

For me it feels like a very regular movement in one area, usually down low. My friend described it as having a heart beat like feeling and that fits for me too. It's super rhythmic.

I didn't feel any hiccups for quite a while, closer to 28w I think? And they feel like little rhythmic movements. Mine are down close to my cervix, and (awkward) it feels like my butt is hiccuping :p It was pretty obvious what they were once I realized they were regular, like hiccups. But no worries, it was aaages before I felt em!

Can someone tell me what baby hiccups feel like and when you're likely to start feeling them? I'm 23wks and feel a lot of regular movement, but nothing I would have attributed to hiccups. Unless I'm missing something.

Just interested to know!
