Can you add crystal light to a glass? Maybe try iced tea (be careful, it's a diuretic!). Watermelon contains a lot of water, so maybe SO can pick up some watermelon for you?

I have been in the habit of watering-down my flavored drinks for a long time - juice, soda, milk, whatever. I do 1/3-1/2 flavored and the rest water. I usually drink 1/3 when I pour it (unless I'm thirsty rather than making sure I stay hydrated), then the rest in the next 5-10 minutes, 1/3 at a time.
When I had to do my 24-hour urine test, I drank 1/3 glass before I went to the bathroom, then the other 2/3 after. I had at least one more glass in between bathroom visits. I find that sometimes a straw helps me drink more too.
Aside from beverages, I avoided dry foods and tried to eat more "wet" foods, including fruit. I don't know how medically correct that is, but it helped me mentally.

I find that I slack on water when I have to fill it up often. If I get a big 24 ounce/1L bottle and fill it up, I try to drink 2 per day and figure I'm doing pretty good then.

I also will let myself have tea or something but force myself to follow up with a matching serving of water before getting my next flavored drink.

I have been suffering from high BP for the last week too (curretnly 35 weeks.) I have found when I just can fanthom drinking another glass of water, to add a little Crystal Light to it really helps! Makes you think you are getting a nice sugary drink when in fact you aren't! I never use a full packet, I can usually get 2-3 glasses per packet. These really helps with my water intake. Also, good old lemon or cucumbers slices make me drink it faster too, I do these at work!

Edit: Also a water bottle with a straw or a Camelbak bottle really helps me drink faster than a standard glass.

I had super high BP as well, along with a lot of swelling, and they made me super hydrate too. I found that water bottles were easier because I could squeeze them and get more per swallow lol. I also added a ton of lemon or cucumber to it, or even just drank iced tea or lemonade. any liquids help, it doesnt have to be just water.

I was ABOUT to start a post about what a challenge it is for me to keep up with hydrating properly. I had some pre term contractions so I have to really focus on it too. I kind of try to make a game with myself and make sure I have a full glass every hour that I'm awake. I'm not always 100% successfull but it helps me to remember.

I just got back from my 38 week midwife appointment and my blood pressure was pretty darn high. I'm now on bedrest for the day and supposed to drink a lot of fluids. I have to continue to check my blood pressure and report back to her tomorrow to see if the relaxation and fluids helped. I'm a terrible water drinker. Does any one have any creative ideas to get in extra fluids?
