I have no real-life experience with either yet, though, so I'm not sure how they will pan out. It doesn't fold up but I love that it reclines and it's convertable. We got it used but its in great condition. Loved it for a few months, til we came across more and more tables at restaurants that we couldn't use it with. She quickly got heavy too so it could only be used on really big tables otherwise it would tip the whole table over. We can use it on a chair so we take it to friends houses with us or as an actual highchair. The disadvantage is that it doesn't fold up. It also comes with a booster which we have used for a friends 3 year old (with our little in the actual high chair). The height of the high chair allows him to sit at the breakfast bar or the table without the tray.
