I didn't ovulate on my own before it, but when I took the first dose I ovulated on CD31 (so really late) but it worked!! I'm not 38 weeks pregnant! On my own I ovulate around CD 18-20, and with Clomid (50mg, unmonitored) it was the same (personally I feel like it didn't do anything at that dose). On 100mg I ovulated on CD 15, and with 2 follicles each time. I've "heard" (without any research to support) that taking Clomid earlier in your cycle makes you more likely to produce more than one egg - maybe he's really concerned about the chance of multiples? RE said she was starting me cd 3 and not cd 5 because of that. It could just be a coincidence. I took it CD 3-7 both times. On 50 mg, I ovulated CD 17 at the earliest. We weren't charting but based on when AF came and BFNs, that was the earliest possible day.
