@lunalove20: Yes, this was me. Ruminating over the smallest slights, and general anxiety = living in the past and future but rarely in the present :( What finally helped me was a small dose of Lexapro. The difference is astounding. Not at all saying you need it but just sharing my experience!

Lack of sleep definitely makes me so irritable and just annoyed at every little thing. Like my kids playing with each and laughing too loud makes me mad. And then I go to bed and can’t sleep and the cycle repeats. And while I can’t sleep I go over random little things from the day that bothered me or overthink my reactions to them. It sucks. Sometimes when i have a break and I can’t slow my mind down, reading a book (vs watching tv or looking at my phone) helps focus my mind elsewhere.

@FaithFertility: I completely get not wanting your kid to be “the bad kid”. My 4.5 year old has a rough start to this school year and her teacher just didn’t connect with her and I could tell totally thought of her as the bad kid in class. And I get it, she was the most difficult child in her small class, but she also wasn’t totally outside the norms of a 4 year old. It made me so nervous that she would get labeled as a problem child in elementary school and her reputation would follow her year to year. That’s one of the factors in my decision to hold her for kindergarten next year (among many others, and she has a very late birthday, etc).

@Iced Tea: Thanks! I am able to let some things go right away but for some reason some things bother me a little longer... :( but I tell myself life is to short to be worrying about little things that essentially do not matter and especially won't matter 5 years from now lol

I've definitely found myself snapping at DH or we'll get in an argument where I'm so sure I'm right - and then I calm down and realize that it probably is just me. I feel you.

@lunalove20: I don’t want to minimize how you are feeling but unfortunately we live in a world where it’s easy to be overwhelmed and overprocessing. Hormones and sleep certainly can impact how we view things.

Hugs. Lack of sleep and hormones definitely make me very reactive to everything. The only thing that helps me when I'm like that is getting some fresh air and exercise. Hope your day gets better!

I totally get where your coming from! Faith F. you are NOT a horrible parent!!! The reality is there are some things out of our control every child at some point will try to bite or hit or push we try our best to focus on reinforcing good behaviour and discussing with our child why we don't bite etc -- don't worry he won't be labelled as 'the bad kid' -- kids will be kids... teachers know this... I used to work in a school myself :) I know how you feel though if your friend hasn't replied back you start to overthink the situation- myself included I think as women we do this! I am 100% sure she isn't upset I am always replying late to texts just get caught up in the day etc.

@lunalove20: I don't know if this relates, but I was about to post about being so upset that my 19 month old seems to be a biter :( he bites his ssiter and now a girl at his sitters! The parents are our Best friends and it is. breaking my heart, making me feel like a horrible parent.

He bit her Tuesday I called to apologize and Just texted and she has yet to respond, I 99% doubt it is because she is upset at us, but I am over thinking it all!

I literally Just cried dropping him off PRAYING he would have a good day!

He is my sweet boy and as a teacher I don't want him to be known as (the bad kid)

Lately I find myself so sensitive to everything and seem to be bothered by little things. It is really getting old -- I don't want to let things bother me so much and just let them go. Can anybody else relate?? Not sure if it is just hormones or lack of sleep lol
