I think the true definition is nothing except for breastmilk. Most people introduce solids at 6 months so technically the baby is on BM+solids. The understood that I was feeding the baby, giving her milk and she didn't need a bottle. It was actually VERY awkward for me b/c my SIL came over with her kiddos and then went outside with DH to look at something.... I go to start nursing P (which I always nurse like I do in public since I have G here) and she asks me what I'm doing, how I'm feeding P, etc.</p> <p>People are weird about what knowledge/information is given to their kids. Last Friday, my parents watched our LOs while DH and I were at work. When they were packing the diaper bag to meet us for dinner, my dad asked if he needed to pack a bottle. It surprised me because she's 81 and moved to the US in 1962 from Holland. </p> <p>My mother breastfed and thought pumps were crazy, but understood because I went back to with at 7 weeks.
