@BrentLee88: I do my OPKs when I get home from work - usually 8-8:30 p.m. and have never had a problem with results! I know some people have to do it twice a day to "catch" the ovulation hormone. But if it's causing you to stress, don't use them! As my MIL said, "It's "simple." Wait two weeks after your period then have sex every other day!" LOL, I kid you not!

A cycle can go much longer than 35 days, so if you don't get your period by Thursday it doesn't mean you are pregnant, but it doesn't mean your not! I would wait a few days and test again. Good luck:)

@BrentLee88: I was stressing myself out with OPK's too, my doctor had me just test CD10-20 and that's it. Also she said not to test first thing, make it more brunchtime, apparently they work better then? First cycle with her changes I got pregnant so I guess so! And my positive OPK was on CD18, I had almost given up hope! So hopefully something like that figures out for you too.

@kjpugs: I have been charting on fertility friend since march, i been reading up on courses as well :), I will wait it out like u said and see what happens but if i keep having problems i will go to the doctor. yeah it is very helpful using it, i know when you stress it causes your period to be late as well so i guess i will wait and see what happens, i about always start testing on ovulation test at about 8 days to make sure, didnt get any positive ovulation on the days the chart said i would, but i know next month i will start testing more to find out :), Thanks for your help!

@BrentLee88: you should try using fertility friend, it helps you chart everything. If you use symptoms/cervical mucus/ temps instead of OPK's maybe that will help you stress less? Then you may be able to figure out when you ovulate and see how many DPO you are, without being stressed. Give it a week or two and then call your doctor. Not saying your cycle is BCP related but just meant it is possible for cycles to go LONGGG. If the OPK's were stressing you out it could be even stress related. Fertility friend might be a great way for you to track everything (days you DTD, when your period starts/ends, symptoms) even if you aren't going too in-depth. I felt so much better not having to remember everything and being able to just refer back to my chart when I had questions. Good luck!

@kjpugs: i have never been on BCP before, i will see my doctor if it ges on longer without positive pregnancy test, i actually have no idea how many DPO i am like i said last post i tested for 7 days, then it was stressing us out so i just quite taking them to just see what happens, i tend to stress out so much i broke out in shingles from anxiety. not good.... lol so was trying to relax and heal, i been using the digitals then they kept reading error, then i took the clear blue regular test and was negative Friday

@pui: I ended my period April 11th but started it April 5th, which is usually 29 day cycle which means i should have started Friday may 3rd, and to be honest i took opk's for 7 days this month they were all negative but i also kinda lacked on taking them all month, so not sure if the days we made love if i was ovulation or not. it was stressing us out so we figured it will happen, when it happens i guess.

Cycles can go pretty much indefinitely (just ask some ladies who just got off BCP's, they can mess your cycle up!!), if it goes a lot longer than usual without a positive pregnancy test, then you should see your doctor. How many DPO are you? That's the best way to tell if it's really too early to test or not. Are you testing with first morning urine? What kind of tests are you using?

I thought you had your period rather recently? Did OPKs ever show you any results?

I am currently on CD40 and not pregnant lol...

hope everyone is doing good! :), well i was writing an update, i was supposed to start my period Friday and well it never came. i am 3 days late now, took a pregnancy test Friday and it was negative, so i have no idea whats going on maybe its too early to test still, or a late period. my cycles are 29 days usually. can i cycle only go up to 35 days? cause i will be at day 35 on Thursday if i don't start my period by then is it possible i am preggers?
