Are your inlaws from the area or are they coming in from out of town? What do they like to do?

-D.C. at Christmastime is so magical, I would try to make a trip to see the sights. They could go with the 3.5 year old and you could stay home with the 3 month old, if it's too much w/ the two kids.
-Baltimore Inner Harbor - just walking around is nice.
-Brookside gardens is a great idea, too like @Pollywog suggested.

It might be really nice for them to take your older child to do something special (since the baby will still be new). I'm not familiar with your area, so no area-based suggestions, but they could take them Christmas shopping for a present for you or the baby. They could also "adopt a family" from an Angel Tree and let 3yo help pick presents for them.

Take them to see the trains at Brookside gardens, go to the zoo, swim at MLK rec center, go to a playground? Do a Smithsonian? Watch the airplanes at Gravely point or Long Branch Park (involves venturing into VA. I promise we don't bite :-) ).

We are hosting my in laws for Christmas this year, and both my FIL and husband get super antsy if we don’t get out of the house most days. I’m looking for ideas of things we can do for the non Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day time they are here. We will have a 3.5 yo and a 3 month old at the time. We live in Maryland in the DMV, in case anyone has any area specific ideas, but even general suggestions are welcome!
