We do the typical snacks and music, coloring books, stickers, reading books, etc, and for the most part, try to drive when they will sleep. This year I requested that DH buy an iPad mount though so the kids can both watch something if it comes to that. I get a headache/carsick turning my head back and forth tending to them with all the snacks/activities! Last year, DS woke up cranky in the middle of our night-driving and SCREAMED for 40 mins and it was hell!! I wasn't prepared since I had never dealt with that with DD...

Snacks! I keep a bag of toys up front with me and just hand her new ones when she starts to whine. We also bring the ipad and that usually keeps her entertained

I like to include one new thing for each road trip. It's kinda like my Hail Mary! This trip it's the water wow. I've got pen and paper (usually her favorite), lace and trace, books, coloring book w crayons, wipeable activity books. Tons of snacks and the iPad charged and loaded with 2-3 episodes of DT.

I'm not worried about DD1 but am about DD2! Packing two bottles and hoping she'll fall asleep quick! Lol

We are doing a 2.5 hour car trip with 3 kids this weekend (my 2 LOs and my niece). Our plan is to leave midmorning with the hope that the two little ones sleep. We will also have iPad videos and games, Melissa and Doug Water Wow paint books and snacks. Hopefully it will go by quickly!

We only do car travel with our young girls, for the most part they do pretty good, besides our 3 year old getting bored. Every road trip I create a "activity box" full of coloring books/crayons, stickers, snacks, a couple trains, pen/paper, ect. This works for about an hour, and then we usually put in a movie on our DVD player in our car and she falls asleep. What are your go to distractions?
