Too early, especially with the fear of loss.
Good luck this cycle!

I'm somewhat superstitious so I definitely woukdn't do this. Maybe you could send Valebtine's Day cards if you are pregnant then.

Either my aunt or my stepmom (I've since forgotten which) signed their Christmas cards with their names and "?" as an announcement. They miscarried, and I know the cards were a regret. So I wouldn't risk putting it on there.

No advice on that, but if you do choose to wait, you could always send out an announcement card around Valentine's Day? I know it doesn't help with your "number 1" for the Xmas cards but it could be a fun way to announce if you end up waiting.

Exactly what @foodnerd81 said.

I totally get wanting to celebrate all lives, regardless of how "early" you are in pregnancy. Even after miscarrying our first, we told a fair amount of people with this 2nd pregnancy before 12 weeks.... but I wouldn't have printed anything on a card or made it "public."

@Oxana: I can never come up with anything clever. That's why our Christmas cards are pretty much "happy holidays! Love mom dad and baby"

I suspected he was right, but I think I'm begin driven mad by desperation. :meh:

On a lighter note, what the heck am I going to put in my No. 1 spot now?!

I wouldn't do it that early. You could tell people though, I just wouldn't put it in your Christmas card.

Yeah that seems really risky to announce on a card that early. I didnt wait until 12 weeks to announce after 2 miscarriages but I'd never have put it on a card.

I'm not saying you should keep it to yourselves, but I also wouldn't put it on a card. I'd rather tell people as you see fit. I wouldn't personally feel comfortable with it printed on a card.

I may be jumping the gun a little bit, but I've been working on our holiday cards, so it's been on my mind. We're doing a "Top 10 of 2015" theme in our cards and I had hoped to make a pregnancy announcement the No. 1.

We have one LO, and we've been TTC for a year for a second baby. I've had two miscarriages, one at six weeks and one at nine weeks.

I've been hoping that we could get pregnant this fall and then announce the pregnancy in our holiday cards. But if we get pregnant this cycle (I know that's a big "if"), I'd only be five or six weeks pregnant when I ordered the cards, and probably around seven weeks when we mailed them.

My DH thinks it's not a good idea, since it would be a particularly memorable and painful let down if I miscarried again. He thinks we shouldn't tell anyone until 12 weeks, after the holidays. He might be right. What do you think?

If it matters, we only send holiday cards to close family and friends (around 15 households).
