I used Target's one-hr photo last year. I thought it was a pretty good quality. I haven't purchased it anywhere else so I can't compare.

@Boogs: Thanks for the Costco reminder. I need to check out their prices.

We used VistaPrint. I think it was like $70 for 100 full color (both front and back) photo cards, with upgraded recycled paper option, some other “upgrade” option I can’t remember, full color matching envelopes and full color address labels. I bought through UPromise, so got some additional discount, as well as 5% cash back to my savings account (and points for my credit card wootwoot). Of course, the shipping was terrible, but that’s my own fault for waiting so long to order them!

I've used Vistaprint in the past but this year I splurged on the ones from Minted. More expensive, but I like their designs a lot better. Very happy with the quality!

@Boogs: Oh good, I'm glad I could help!

My cards were the luxe cotton and I got 75 cards for $56. Shipping was an additional $17. That was for a weird size though - they fit into #10 envelopes that I ordered from Paper Source.

My sister's were heavy cardstock - matte, 4x6 cards and they were $37 for 70 cards with envelopes. Shipping was an additional $15. Both of our cards were printed on one side only, blank backs.

I design my own and have printed a few places over the years:
- PSPrint: very cheap (they regularly offer 50-60% off this time of year), nice color reproduction, the matte option is nice (I hate the real glossy cards) but on the thin size (13 pt. I believe), nice user interface for uploading, slow turn around though and limited in sizes
- Moo: I have used Moo several times for pictures tucked into our holiday cards (business card size). I absolutely love their small little business cards. They are thick and smooth textured and really just beautiful. However, the postcard size I had printed as our holiday card last year was like it came from a totally different company. I don't know if I just picked all the wrong settings or what, but I hated them.
- Catprint: I'm crazing about this place. This year I ordered my sister & I's holiday cards here. They let you completely customize the size & quantity and have a LOT of options for paper weight/texture. I got the super thick cotton ones for my holiday cards this year and I'm in love with them. I ordered a cheaper option for my sister but they were still thick and had a really nice texture. The colors came out really nice too (as a reference, some of the text on my card was light grey and it came out a really nice grey, not a washed out black color, if that makes sense). Anyway, can't recommend them enough.

Sorry, I just wrote a novel. Let me know if you have more questions though!

I ended up using Costco because I'm cheap. I did order some desk calendars as grandparent gifts from Shutterfly and I must say that I'm really pleased with how those turned out!

I used my publisher.com this year since they had a promotion out for 10 free cards plus free shipping and they even printed your return address and envelope liners for free. They came out great. They feel like real cards vs. photo paper.

I used mpix.com because it was the easiest to get a full size photo on the back. The pricing wasn't the most thrifty but the quality was excellent and we received them in less than 5 days with basic shipping. We bought the 5x7 size though they also have a 4x6 size.

We ordered ours from vistaprint, super cheap and the quality was great. But like @artbee says, shipping is expensive, even for the slowest (21 days from print to ship) cost us almost 10 bucks!

I got mine at Wal Mart. I ordered the 5x7 card on matte photo paper. I bought 40 cards for $30 and they came with envelopes. I was very happy with the quality. I ordered from Walgreens last year and the quality of the Wal Mart cards is 100x better.

They also had to option of having them shipped or picking them up in store through one hour photo. I opted to pick them up since I waited so long to order them. I also didn't have to pay shipping that way.
