5 1/2 year old:
Legos- I think we are going to get her the cinderella castle and the smaller cinderella house- she watched this as her first Disney movie recently and would enjoy it. She likes the Friends sets, too, but I think the castle would be pretty exciting for her.
-Accessories for her bitty baby- got her an ergo, some new diapers, a new outfit, and will get some bottles.
-castle blocks
-magnatile set
-replenish some art supplies
-giant rainbow silk (she can either play with it or we might make her a canopy for her bed)
-a couple photos of her and her friend/her brother to hang in her room

still waiting to get her official wishlist, but Santa will bring something from that and then do her stocking

2 year old:
magnatile set
rubber road pieces & road signs
train accessories
dollhouse furniture
baby accessories for his cabbage patch doll

new baby (so...toys i want for myself, mostly!)
holtziger woodland animals
a hazel village stuffie
bath toy
clutching ball
maybe a grimm's stacking toy

then they all get 2-3 books, a new outfit, jammies, and stocking stuff.

Does anyone have any cool dinosaur toys your kids love? My almost 6 year old is obsessed with dinos and wants more toys for his birthday and Christmas but I'm pretty sure he already has a ton. I'm trying to see if there are any really cool dino toys that he might want. We already have a bunch that make noise or move so I don't know what else is out there!

@mediagirl: I want this dome climber for the boys so badly! But my husband says we don’t have enough room in the yard between the deck and the swingset.

Does anybody have any suggestions for a biggish gift for an almost three year old boy? My parents want to ideas. I’ve suggested Osmo for B but I can’t think of anything for W, because we have everything!

@mediagirl: we have one of those dome climbers and it’s been the most amazing thing! We’ve had it for 1 1/2 years and my kids are 3&5. They use it every single day! Even my 3yo can climb to the top now!!! (We got ours from costco and last year I saw them go on sale in the fall)

6.5yo girl:
- Jewelry armoire (the dresser top kind with drawers that open - she saw one at home goods and was in love)
- our generation (target-brand American girl) doll-size baking set. She loooooves little things like that and it’s so many pieces for the price!
- got a lego friends set that builds real-size accessories like a camera, walkie-talkie, etc - probably save for her January bday

3.5yo boy:
- LEGO Jr. fire set in a little carry box
- car carrier semi truck
- “big” bike - probably save for January bday

Got both some some personalized pencils and case from Shutterfly for stockings. A dvd for each (peanuts movie and new Pixar shorts) and I always buy books at their school book fairs to use over Christmas, bday and Easter. Maybe some art stuff since we always use that. It’s hard when bdays are so close and the grandparents buy them a lot too!

Baby will be 4m and she’s getting things I was going to buy anyway:
- lunchbox for eventual school
- name labels
- sippy cups
And probably a couple books too. We have many but I always get sucked in by books!!

B will be almost 5 and W almost 3, and so far I’ve got them some Magnatiles, and personalized books, plus Minion Operation for B and Alphabots and a Playmobil Zamboni for W.

Other ideas - B has been talking a LOT about BeyBlades, and I might get him an Osmo set. W....I’m not sure. Does anybody have any experience with Flybar?

@mediagirl: Hahahaha yes ditto on the newborn gifts. I will likely let all our family buy LO presents and try to think of a keepsake for her first xmas but that's about it.

For our (soon to be) 6 yr old girl, we will have to wait until after her November bday to really decide depending on what she's gifted then.

I did pick up a Hatchimal (one of the new Hatchibabies) when I saw them on display at Target knowing that she's asked for one and these are on all the 'hot new toy' lists I've read. It's stashed away until either her bday or xmas - haven't decided which.

She's also asked for:
Lego sets (basically any/all legos)
Playmobil aquarium set/s
Merbabies (but I looked these up and can't find them ANYWHERE in the US for sale)
a play house for the yard

With LO coming early Decmber and her bday within a few weeks I'm not sure we can execute the play house in time for either occasion. Maybe xmas if we truly splurge and buy a nice kit.
Traditionally each year we buy a Playmobil advent calendar for her to enjoy along with a set of new PJs and keepsake ornament to open on xmas eve. This year she'll also get some books and I like to always have a game gift (looking also at Guess Who like @mediagirl )

@gestalt: Thank you for those book suggestions! I am going to see what is available at the library to "test" them out.

I bought TTR and an expansion pack for my son last Christmas, but we never have played them. We have a ton of board games (I may have a problem, lol) but he loved one called Maze Racers that we played at the library so I bought that last year too. We also like the Q-BA maze kits, they're like grown up marble runs.

I haven’t even started thinking about gifts! But for the Harry Potter fans, I got my son this book recently and he loves it! There’s another similar one with a wand and spells to practice, and I’ll probably buy that one too for either the holidays or his birthday.

6 year old:
-Lego sets. She really wants the Friends Stephanie's House and the HP Whomping Willow sets. I am hoping a family member gets her one of those.
-Games: Guess Who and Life Jr.
-A light-up HP wand, a puzzle or two and finally...I really, really want to get her this dome climber but am hoping to find it on sale.

@looch: What kind of books does he like? Secret Science Alliance & The Copycat Crook, Jack Stalwart series, and Wayside books are some good ones he may like. I recently bought a Pierre the Maze Detective book for a birthday and it was a hit - it's a beautiful book and a better version of Where's Waldo.

We are debating buying her a chromebook. i know she would be over the moon, but we're not sure if it's necessary at this point.

No list, but she will probably get a big lego set and a Harry Potter character book. I'm also looking at building her board game collection and get Pyramid of PengQueen or Ticket to Ride, and maybe Connect4. I'm looking for some good crafting ideas where she can do it on her own without help from me. :P

For my 4 year old, he will likely get a remote control car, a switch and go dino or some kind of transformer toy, lego set, and a couple of board games like Chicken Cha Cha or Little Orchard.

My son has been making his Christmas/Birthday wishlist since September, and it's getting longer instead of shorter. I am always looking for suggestions for him, since he tends to focus on one thing and request multiples (ie, lego kits).

What are your kids asking for, what will they receive?

This year, he's asked for Nintendo Switch and some Labo kits, at least 25 lego Creator kits and I think that's it. We won't get him more than 3 Lego kits, but I need ideas for other things, such as non electronic games, art supplies, reading material, etc.
