I'm trying to figure out the same thing. I think we will do big gifts for the 2 main teachers (probably target gift cards), and something small for the 3 floater teachers that help out in his room when the main teachers are on break.
There are also quite a few teachers who recognize DS and love on him whenever they see him in the hall, so I'm thinking of bringing in breakfast one morning as a relatively inexpensive way to thank the people that wouldn't necessarily be on my list.

@Littlebit: Wondering this same thing! My daughter is in daycare two days a week. She has two main teachers, but then there are a few girls who are regular fill-ins, plus there are early morning people. I only do drop off, so the early morning people are the only ones I actually know.

I'm thinking of asking the director at my daughter's daycare what other parents do. This must come up for everyone. I was thinking of getting Panera coffee and muffins for the room and not bothering with individual presents.

How do you handle gifts for daycare? Last year my son was with a babysitter and we got her a target giftcard and some nice chocolate.

Not sure how to handle daycare. My son just got bumped to a new room so we don't really know the main teacher. And we probably won't know her very well. She is one of the bus drivers in the morning so we don't see her at drop off and she is usually gone by the time we pick up. She has 2 or 3 different girls that float in and out of the class - we see them all time. Do you get something for everyone? One present for the main teacher, and then something like donuts or coffee for the floaters?

Not really sure what the 'right' thing to do here is - especially since I know the floaters better than I know the main teacher.

What are you doing/what would you do in this situation?
