I am so excited, even though she will only be 6 months at thanksgiving!! We got married last year the weekend after Thanksgiving, so now we have an anniversary in there, too! Thanksgiving is lots of food. Christmas is my favorite. The town I grew up in has a christmas parade and big tree lighting ceremony. There is also a local place that has lights set up all around the cranberry bogs. I will get everyone new PJs to open Christmas eve. After presents are opened on Christmas morning, I will make Dad's famous breakfast since we don't live near him anymore. Then it's likely we will have Christmas dinner with DHs parents.

Growing up there weren' really much holiday traditions besides Chinese New Year so I'm excited to start some with M!

Easter: Basket!!! Can't wait to make M her first basket

Halloween: Definitely trick or treating, pumpkin patch and carving jack o lanterns.

Thanksgiving: Big dinner and daddy's turkey. :D One of my favorite meals of all time

Christmas: Not sure if we're going to do the cookie thing. But I think watching A Christmas Story yearly is a must. ETA: yes I want to do Xmas brunch every year!

Chinese New Year: A big lunar dinner every year, red envelopes and hopefully going back to NYC at least every other year.

We're huge on traditions!

Halloween : pumpkin patch and carving and trick or treating

Thanksgiving : wake up listening to rocky to get psycked to run the turkey trot, then go to my moms for brunch. She has about 60 people over, has since I was born and its always the same meal! Then we go to dhs parents for the traditional dinner.

Chanukah : latkes, lighting the menorah, dreidel, seven little gifts and then a big one on the last night.

One of the things I'm really looking forward to is having some family holiday traditions :) For fall/Halloween, I'm planning on taking LO to the pumpkin patch & apple picking. I already bought her a little pumpkin costume :) I haven't thought about what to do for Christmas, but I know we'll open one gift on Christmas Eve and leave cookies/milk out for Santa.

What are some of your favorite Holiday traditions?
