yes! i had this happen once, and it was right around the same time! i'd just been feeling little flutters here and there, nothing major, and then one morning i was laying in bed and...well, a barrel roll is the perfect way to describe how it felt! i actually woke up my husband because i said out loud, "whoa, kid!" now that she's much bigger and doesn't have as much space, she usually doesn't really forcefully kick as much as she stretches...i know exactly where her feet are because i'm always feeling them push on my belly in that same spot. it's surreal and incredible. :)

That's so fun and exciting!! I have random movements here and there that I can feel on the exterior, but nothing consistent. I can't wait for things to be more consistent to reassure me everything is okay inside!

I totally had this happen yesterday! I was standing chatting at work and I felt a distinctive kick right in my lower tummy - as usual I wait for more gas bubbles but none came so I know it was a kick. That was my first distinguishable movement where I am certain thats what it was.

Then last night when I was getting ready for bed I had like rolling pressure going through my low stomach and think it was a barrel roll - I just stopped and stood. Its like she rolled once and then once more to settle in then nothing for the rest of the night! Crazy! Loved it!

I can completely relate! I was only feeling little flutters until about week 20 and then one day on my drive home from work I felt a "barrel roll" just like you described. It was the start of more movement! Last week a couple times the kicks were so huge, DH could feel them through my belly. I'm just 23 weeks so I know they will keep getting stronger, and I still go through periods throughout the day where I don't feel anything, but its so fun feeling more than those little flutters!

Awww i miss those moments! I didn't start to feel anything until about 22-23 weeks. It went from barely anything to crazy rolls and kicks. It'll get even better (and maybe freakier) as you get bigger.

I joke with my husband that this kid is systematically testing my uterus for weak spots. And he never tests the same place twice... #raptors
Seriously, I couldn't wait to feel movement because of an early m/c with my first pregnancy. It seemed like it really started around 18 - 20 weeks, then picked up in intensity as I progressed. Every once in awhile he'll do something in there that will make me sit up straight and go "Whoa!" At 32 weeks, he's a definitely a Bruce Lee.
(I also hear that babies have circadian rhythms. He is most active waaaay early in the morning, when I'm at work if I happen to be moving around a bunch, and between 6 - 11 pm. I wonder if that translates into sleep habits when he's stateside?)

Up until now (21 weeks) I have been feeling slight flutters and light pops every now and then. Nothing string or consistent at all. I was laying here, being lazy on HB and watching some shows and I felt a STRONG kick. As if I had my hand on the outside I would have felt it. I didn't feel anything else for about 30 minutes and suddenly I felt the strangest and strongest movement ever that seriously felt like she stuck her butt out and did a barrel roll inside me! How did I go from hardly feeling anything to feeling THAT? My laptop, that was resting on my stomach even jiggled which means I KNOW I would have been able to feel it had my hand been on my stomach!

Anybody else get sudden (albeit inconsistent) and super strong movements after hardly feeling anything? Was it the beginning of regular strong movements or just flukes based on positioning?
