Such great ideas everyone...thank you so much!

I definitely plan to restrict access (I'm thinking in the back room where she is not allowed)...but I would like to have some container that is fair game (items that cant do much damage)

@PinkElephant: meow meows...hilarious...my kid would totally do this...

I just bought 12 pencil boxes on sale in the school supply section and thats how im organizing now :) the pencil boxes are inside two big canvas bins on our big bookshelf in my office. my kids do not have free access to craft supplies. it would be a disaster! haha :) the things we use the most are watercolor paints (easy clean up) and brushes, stamps and stamp pads, pompoms, wiggly eyes, stickers, markers, glue sticks and regular elmers (use mini cupcake liners to give them a little bit and a paintbrush, so they dont use the whole bottle). we also have sequins, beads, pipe cleaners, and regular paint but those dont get as much use.

We have one of those 10 drawer carts for supplies, my son is a neat freak and likes to keep his stuff separated.

We have a basket with cups that hold wide markers, thin markers, scissors etc. so it's easy to grab a cup and set it on the table for them to use. We use a wipe container for crayons and colored pencils. Magazine holders for coloring books and another for notebooks and scratch paper.

Another fun one is those glitter glue pens.

Pipe cleaners, pony beads, colored glitter glue, rhinestones/sequins, feathers. Different textures of paint applicators (makeup sponges, bottle brushes, stamps)...and most importantly a variety of "canvases". Large foam/plywood/card stock shapes, crown and magic wand kits from the dollar store, seasonal shapes I pre-cut....

Also I didn't check your profile for how old the kiddos are, but you also may want to be wary of how accessible your craft storage is, my 2 and 4 year olds recently made each other into "meow meows" (cats) in a few unsupervised minutes with access to markets and dot paint. The back tattoos were sort of hilarious...the coloring all over their eyelids, less so. 😜

So far, I have markers, crayons, paper, and finger paints. I keep the markers, paints, and paper on a shelf in her closet, but once we get the office cleared up, they will have a table in there with access to things.

Other things in our stock are popsicle sticks, foam sheets and shape stickers, tissue paper squares, markers, crayons, colored pencils, yarn/twine, beads, stamps, ink, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, paper plates and card stock.

We have them stored on an ikea Raskog cart in Glis boxes and mason jars.

So - I am looking to build a crafting station...especially as I come into the Fall/Winter season here in the midwest.

This summer while I was working on some Disney Princess Footprint canvases I stocked up on paints in various colors and its been great.

Wonder what you all have in your kids crafting supplies?

Here are my initial thoughts: paints, glues (sticks and liquid), shaped scissors, kid freindly scissors, colored papers galore, cotton balls/colored pom poms, those little eyes...

What else?
