@Beebug: congrats on the move and OMG! You need better luck lady.

I think it depends on how easily your LO can sleep through noise. Mine wakes if I sneeze but sleeps through jack hammers and fire trucks.

Not exactly home reno's, but our new build wasn't quite done and we have lots of tradesmen coming in/out of the house! I nap her in her PnP in whatever room I can furthest from the work! We had our entire bathroom ripped out Friday (don't even want to explain, lol) and she napped right through it! New place is a bungalow so fairly limited as to how far away I can get, but we've made out okay so far (one week in!)

We are living it right now! We are finishing our basement. I don't have any tips because M seems to sleep better with construction noise... lol. I was really worried but it turns out it's a non-issue. Do you have somewhere you could go for naps? My plan had been to take the PnP to my IL's if she wouldn't nap.

We are still in the midst of home renovations. DH does most of the noisy stuff during the day and the quiet stuff at night. It really slows down the process!

we are looking to finish our basement in the coming weeks, will probably be 4-6 weeks total for the project.

i'm hoping that sound machine in ds' room (second floor) will be enough. he'll be 10-11 months.

anyone been through a home reno with a baby in the house? tips? suggestions? should i make arrangements for him to be watched at my mom's house instead?
