My favorite combo is rice + lentils + potatoes + chicken + whatever veggie you want. It blends up really well!

Color groupings are usually pretty successful.

- Carrot, sweet potato, pumpkin, mango, oranges, apricots, and peaches, with cinnamon/nutmeg/cloves (orange spice).

- Green veggies, pears, apples, kiwi, peas, and basil/parsley/cilantro/mint (green herb).

- Beets, purple potato, berries, and cherries.

- We added rice, quinoa, chickpeas, and white beans, potatoes, sweet potatoes, and oatmeal for bulk, fiber, and starch.

-Pumpkin goes really well with bananas or coconut cream. DS likes a mix of pumpkin, coconut cream, sweet potato, rice, and cinnamon.

- DS needed to bulk up so we added coconut cream, cottage cheese, olive oil, coconut oil, and butter pretty liberally to his purees. Or we'd stir in whole fat yogurt.

We make all our own baby food for our 8 month old. I've done a lot of individual fruits/veggies: carrots, sweet potatoes, avocado, pears, banana, peaches, etc. I'm looking for ideas on combination items I could try making.
