@hellobear: I freeze all our purées in individual portions (ice cube sized) so we could thaw as we go. If anything was left over I threw it out as it wasn't much. My kids (9 months) still aren't huge on solids so when we're out we stick to breastmilk or formula, or finger foods (puffs, melts, etc.) so I can't help much there.

I'd treat it as whatever it's made of, so how long you would leave out cooked veggies or chicken or rice or whatever :) if it's refrigerated, a few days should be fine!

hi moms :)

quick question.. how good is frozen homemade baby purees (veggies, fruits with no formula or bm added) once thawed out? is it 24 hours like BM?

i've checked out a couple of different baby references but can't seem to pinpoint a straight answer.. but maybe i just missed it.. sooooo sleep deprived still! =P

anyone have ideas on how to use homemade babyfood when out and about? short trips.. extended travel?

ETA: removed the food allergy part, will probably post in another thread :)

TIA! :)
