i think a mix of both would be nice in an ideal world!

it would probably be more convienient to meet up/organize with the other homeschooled kids because of their flexible schedule :)

I don't HS, but my aunt does, and I have a few close friends that do. I think for the most part they stay with other homeschooling groups, until their children get interested in sports and other things that aren't exclusively homeschooled. I think there can be a good balance with it.

Our area has a big homeschool community, and there are a lot of opportunities to get out of the house, spend time with others, etc... Our area's homeschool community is also NOT mostly made up of people choosing homeschooling for religious reasons. We are a mid sized city and a lot of the community is simply bc our public schools are not great past the elementary level. So, there are a lot of people homeschooling who have varying philosophies, lifestyles, backgrounds, etc...

If you were homeschooled, or are homeschooling... Would you do extracurriculars with other HS groups or would you sign up for sports/clubs that are for everyone so you're not constantly surrounded by HSers? Does that question make sense?
