That's what we've done with every car purchase we've done. Three across seems so busy, but likely the way we'll go, yay for wide mode! We are just 4 months into having the Odyssey and I'm so glad we have the mats!</p> <p>We have done a zillion seat configurations already, I prefer them in third row, with middle middle and middle behind driver out. Right now middle middle is out w them behind the driver and passenger. So you know the three middle row seats can "expand" right? They shift out towards the doors about an inch on either side. We have ours expanded. You mean the seat behind the passenger so you would have one kid middle row middle seat and one kid behind the driver? </p> <p>We just didn't see the need to take out one of the seats because there is plenty of room for two seats next to each other.
