@BananaPancakes: Oooh, yes! We have some that a friend brought us back from England that is AMAZING. It's English Heather honey. We've also got some from Arizona that is pretty good, and we bought some from a local state park that is tasty.

@avivoca: I've never thought to collect honey from other states when I travel, but I might now. I'm a big honey lover, and Tupelo is easy to find here, so I never think about branching out. But I bet there are some other non-southern ones out there that are pretty tasty, too!

Oooh! Love the suggestions. I fell head over heels in love with Salish honey which is from the Snohomish bee farm near my aunty's house. But there are so many choose from where I live and my next choice didn't really compare. So I want to choose wisely. I even bought a honey pot to put on my counter and that's something because I don't like things taking up my counter. So far I have just been putting it in my tea and awhile back I made Martha Stewart's honey cinnamon frosting which is yummy.

Our Hy-Vee has a huge container of organic, raw honey from a farm that is 15 minutes away from the store. You can fill up as much or as little as you want and it is cheap!

We use honey and maple syrup a lot for cooking instead of regular white sugar.

I only buy local raw honey. Like olive oil, honey is too often diluted or impure when you buy it from any mass producer, and since the main benefits rely on the purity, I want to ensure I'm actually getting what I'm paying for.

I'm super spoiled in that my family makes honey, also biased in saying it's the best! Haha. I LOVE having fresh honey in the house.

I mainly buy local Galberry and Tupelo honey. I also enjoy Sourwood. Doesn't matter the brand. Orange blossom is super common here because I'm in FL, but I don't like it. Tupelo is the best honey evah!

I purchase from this company regularly:

I LOVE Wegman's Orange Blossom honey. Clover honey seems sharp to me. Orange blossom is much smoother. For raw honey (when I'm sick), I like Crystal's Raw Honey.

There is a local farm 20 miles away that sells it by the gallon for cheap- definitely my favorite! It tastes so fresh and delicious. I've heard that raw local honey can help with allergies too because it contains trace amounts of local pollen :)
