@jackieomy: @red_seattle: @Andrea: Thank you! No one had told me about this side of weaning, so I'm glad to hear I'm not crazy!

I felt so much anxiety and depression. I didn't know that it was normal until I Googled it. Going back on the pill saved me! I guess I needed those hormones? I don't know but I felt like a different person 1.5 weeks after starting the pill again.

Definitely. I can relate to all that.

About a month ago, a physician spoke to my mom's group about women's health, and said after weaning, it takes 5-7 MONTHS before hormones are back to normal. Given how things have been since weaning started, I'd say that's about right.

ETA: NOT to say that I've been a hormonal mess since then. It's just that things haven't been quite as predictable, but my cycles and symptoms are slowly getting back to the way they were.

My LO weaned over a two month period, and I thought I was going crazy. Super emotional (depressed and anxious), acne returned, felt crampy, bloated and got AF. Now, a month and a half later, I'm feeling more normal (but still a bit down).

Please tell me your experiences with this. LO quickly started to slowly wean (that does make sense in my head), and I think my hormones are going crazy. My skin is like a 14 year old's, AF has been threatening a return for months and now all of those symptoms are gone, and I'm super moody. Is this normal?
