I found out it will be announced in October. We know its between two other companies. One of them most likely would hire on both me and the other guy who does what I do, the other company may only hire one of us, in which the other guy is more senior and more experienced and will have an advantage. Regardless even if they do come to me asking if I want to hire on with them I will either one- get screwed with maternity leave now as I will have been working with them less than a year. My company is still shell shocked themselves and trying to pull all the pieces together and find out who got the contract so they can try to help me and the other guy who do my job a push in their direction so we can get hired on with the new company. To explain, I am a government contractor. I work for a company who is hired by the Gov. More specifically the Military. My company has been doing "my job" for years...never had any competion for the job. Companmies can "bid" to get the job for the Military with what they can "offer" and for how much. We just learned my company LOST the contract. We never would have expected this. Not out of too much confidence but the fact that not many can do what we do.<br /> I am out of a job in December...right before the Holidays, and one month before baby is due.<br /> I know you all cant do anything. I just needed to vent. Trying so hard not to cry in front of about 15 men in uniform right now. </p>
