I packed mine at 36 weeks. Literally that night, my water broke in the middle of the night and I delivered my baby 4 hours later. You just never know!

I've got my toiletries packed and am slowly accumulating everything else (34 weeks). At my hospital, we can have all our personal items in the labor and delivery room, then pack them up and take it upstairs to the family suites. They said lots of people bring laptops and other devices - so I have that on my list. Which will take care of music during labor.

I packed it at 36 weeks. I had a list of last minute things for my husband to pack that I knew I'd be using before that.

I'll be finishing it up this week (I'm 37 weeks). Most of the things are at the house we just need to put it all together.

@HabesBabe:
My hospital recommends having two separate bags so you're not lugging all that stuff around.But my husband only wants ONE bag so he doesn't have to leave me. So we'll be using a huge expandable Air Force issued backpack. haha
I don't think they would have an issue with personal things, my hospital at least.

@sulli301:
I hope my delivery is like yours!!!

Haha, I didn't pack until we were about to leave for the hospital. Even then DH was forcing me to since I didn't believe I was in REAL labor yet.

Mine was done by the time I was full term at 37 weeks. I am SO glad I had it packed because I thought that when I went to the hospital I'd have time to shower, put on make-up, add things to my bag, etc but that wasn't the case for me! We had to leave immediately & I had DD 4 hours later!

I started packing mine really early because my mom bought me stuff specifically for the hospital bag such as gowns, a robe and slippers. So I started packing around 22 weeks, but only recently added stuff like baby clothes, tooth brush, toiletries etc. so its been a work in progress

I'm already getting antsy and I want to pack mine (I'm only 28 weeks... LOL). I went to Target the other day and picked up a bunch of travel-sized toiletries.

Question about the bag-- so I'm guessing you'll have a labor bag (stuff you'll want during labor... maybe a magazine or an iPod or honey sticks) and then you have other stuff for post-delivery (comfy clothes, toiletries). Do you bring both bags into the hospital? Do they let you keep your personal stuff in the delivery room? I'm confused about that.

When did you pack your hospital bag? I am 33 weeks, and my husband is anxious to pack it. I'm pretty sure I would end up using everything in it in the next 7 weeks.
