@TurtleDoves: bring the nursing pillow.....I totally regret not bringing mine. When I got home and had the pillow I was like "wow, this is so much easier!!!" Plus my guy had jaundice which made him sleepy, so I had to keep 'waking him up' while feeding (cold wet washcloth) and I felt like I needed a third arm to accomplish that. Would have been so much easier with the pillow.

Our hospital only gives out pacis if your baby is in NICU, so you might want to pack them!

We brought some cards to play games. I used hospital underwear and pads, and nipple cream. I brought my make up, it was nice to put myself together a little :)

Slippers for your partner to change into, so he can take off his shoes, great if it's raining.
Water bottle to keep you hydrated
mindless reading material when you're up and can't sleep

@TurtleDoves: I mean they will def have a tons of pillows, so if you don't end up bringing it is not the end of the world.
I brought mine and I did use it, but not all the time.
If your baby is on the bigger side, then I'd def bring it because it will def make it easier to bf.

@Clementine: I'm totally going back and forth on whether or not I'll bring my boppy. I don't want it to get dirty! But then again nursing would be easier with it:/. @chrispygal: I'll pack earrings too...and an eyelash curler:)

i agree with Chrispygal, our hospital doesn't give out pacis. this was so annoying! i don't think you need nursing pads because your milk won't come in until after you come home. if you can swing the space, i would bring a nursing pillow just makes it easier for you to nurse.

@sorrycharlie: Not really. I was shocked about the pacifier thing but DH ran home to get them on day 2 so it wasn't a big deal. We also brought in some of our own hats, but they weren't necessarily needed. I never wore the undies I brought from home since they supplied the nice mesh ones. haha. But they were comfy and worked. I ended up going home with 3 packages of pads, which I am still using now. They said whatever was in my room, open or not, could go home with me so we went home with a big supply of diapers, formula, and the pads.

Our hospital stopped giving out pacifiers, so I would pack one just in case. Otherwise that covers most of what I had packed except I also included yoga pants and t-shirts and this is what I wore after day one. I felt much better being in real clothes. I never used my nightgown or robe and my hospital supplied maxi pads. I also packed a pair of earrings to wear post c-section. It just felt good to be a little put together.
