I forgot to bring slippers, so I wore flip flops the whole time (and DH's socks). But it would have been nice to have something cozy on my feet.
I brought 2 pairs of pj bottoms, but only wore one. I basically stayed in the hospital gown except when people were visiting. It was just easier. I checked in on a Friday night and left on a Monday afternoon.

@jessiejo17: I think I was a 36F right around when I delivered, and I got a medium size. I bought two and slept in them (still do, even though I weaned like 8 months ago) and wore them around the house.
Glad to help! :)

Shampoo! My LO was three weeks early and I wasn't packed at all. I had to use the free Johnson and Johnson tear free stuff until my DH brought me some.
Don't forget your nursing pillow too, that's really nice to be able to start to use right away.

@Mrs.B: My lactation consultant recommended just the little Medela ones, and I love mine (I'm a 34G). Provides enough support to be more comfortable, but not constricting at all.

The problem I'm having with buying a sleep nursing bra is that my breast are currently huge. I'm a 38 DDD and I can't find one that fits right :(

1) I didn't bring breast pads the first time but if your milk came in early that last time then it might be a good idea this time. I plan on packing a couple of disposable ones this time just in case.

2/3) I pretty much wore the hospital gown the whole time with DD but plan on taking 2 pairs of PJ pants this time along with 2 nursing tanks. I don't plan on getting a sleeping/nursing bra don't they come sized S-M-L so you could guesstimate the size you'll need.

I was induced so I just wore home the clothes I wore to the hospital. This time I can wear a nursing tank/pair of yoga pants home if not induced and I forget to grab a coming home outfit. For the baby I plan on taking 2 "going home outfits" since we don't know if baby is boy or girl one will be boy and one will be girly.

I agree, I didn't want to wear the hospital gown but I still ended up wearing it. For the next kiddo I will look into a nicer night gown so that its easy for them to still check me while in bed.

Yeah, I never got dressed until we were ready to leave. Didn't use the breast pads I brought, but they're small, so bring them.
I'd bring the nursing bra.
And a dress--sometimes you just don't want anything on your belly!

I can write more when I get home (I have my bag and list in nursery!) but I asked around locally & my hosp doesn't supply nursing pads. I've been leaking (a LOT) since 20 weeks or so (I'm 34.5) so I'm definitely packing them & nursing bras, which I bought a size bigger than I'm used to (there are some 2-pk clearanced at target right now). I packed 2 pairs black yoga pants and 1 pair capris. I figure worst case I'll call my mom or have husband bring more.

I also packed extra elastics, stretchy headband, toiletries, flip flops for shower, robe and socks, but only for if I get chilly..I'm wearing fliPflops to hospital. Chapstick, makeup, brush. Also packed pacifiers, mittens and hat bc my hosp doesn't supply pacis. 2 A+A blankets and coming home outfit.

1. I didn't bring breast pads. My milk didn't come in until after I came home (long after) so I wasn't leaking much anyway, and you can't wash them at the hospital so if your milk comes in washable ones won't do you much good.
2. I don't think it hurts to buy a sleep bra. You'll need them anyway!
3. You'll just never know. I thought I'd want to get dressed too, but I got a 2nd degree tear and it hurt too much to get up, get dressed, etc. I stayed in bed the whole time and just got up to pee. Also, it was easier to be in my hospital gown for when the nurse would come in and check me. I didn't want to have to take my pants off each time because it hurt too much to move.

I'm starting to really take packing my hospital bag seriously. I'm almost 32 weeks and want to have it complete by 36 weeks. With already having kids I get distracted easily and it will very likely actually take 4 weeks to complete :o. So here are some things I'm not sure if I need or not (I'm not a first time mommy but it's been 4 years so I have no idea what I needed and didn't last time).

1. Do I need to bring breast pads? I'm planning on using washable ones but if that doesn't work I have no issue switching to disposables. I'm thinking of bringing 3 pairs of washables. Will I need them? Does the hospital provide them?
Edit: With DS my milk came in the day after his birth but I just don't remember if I brought breast pads or not.

2. Nursing Bras. I have 2 nursing tanks that I'm brining but should I still buy a nursing sleep bra to wear? I wanted to wait until my milk came in and I was no longer engorged to invest in nursing bras.

3. How many pairs of pj pants should I bring. I do not want to wear the hospital gown after delivery and plan to wear my pj pants, nursing tanks, and cardigan during my hospital stay. So how many pairs of pants should I bring? I'm bought a few pairs at Goodwill so I don't care that they may get bloddy. I have 3 pairs packed does that sound like enough?

Anything you wish you would have packed but didn't?
