I got a few bags of saline coupled with being in bed for most of the delivery/induction and then just not up and walking around as much as I normally do after giving birth. The swelling was not fun and the compression stockings really help. I work in hospitals where TED hose (hospital compression stocking) are giving as a matter of course for most patients, so I found they help in most cases.</p> <p>Sorry. I wish I had already figured out a good nursing or sports bra to have on hand like Bravo. I didn't really think DH would have been such a stickler for following the no eating rules (nurses following doctor's orders), but I would definitely pack some kind of snack next time post-birth. Did not use: pretty much any of the clothing I brought, since I just stayed in the gown (usually pulled down to my waist since I was working on breastfeeding constantly) even after the birth. I never felt like showering so didn't use most of my toiletries or other stuff.
