@hilsy85: same- when she was really little, I cared a lot more. The first time this happened she was almost a year and I did still use the pnp sheet I brought but I was less concerned than I would have been at 5 months.

@oliviaoblivia: I had a similar experience at courtyard Marriott. The pnp was set up prior to arrival, had a little bath toy and johnsons baby wash and welcome note in it, and t had this cool sheet thing not only on the mattress, I had a cloth cover for the whole pnp so it could all be washed between guests, very tightly fitted but with mesh sides. I was really impressed.

@oliviaoblivia: That's absolutely awesome! I will have to remember Hyatt for future travels.

@hilsy85: I was really concerned with the "play" factor. LO is 8 months and she likes to pet and scratch her bed. All I could see was her pulling the sheets completely loose.

My comfort level would depend on how old the baby was. We didn't use a hotel crib til LO was 15 months old and I think we also brought our own sheet (mainly for the familiarity). BUt at the point I would have been fine with a large sheet folded over. As long as the child is past the age of being concerned about suffocation, then I"m fine with it.

Most of the time we bring our travel crib and our own linens. The first time we used a hotel crib it was the metal crib with king sized bedding.
We recently stayed at a Hyatt and they brought a pack and play with nice (appropriately sized) bedding, baby toiletries, and a rubber ducky. I was really impressed.

We used hotel cribs for the first time on our vacation. With our older we always went by car and took our pack n play with us. I was shocked! We stayed at three different hotels over the course of a week. At two hotels they were mini cribs (metal). One had the mattress covered with a large sheet, just folded many times. Another had a zip up sheet, but it was for a full crib mattress (not a mini). And the last was a pack n play. Complete with two large flat sheets.

We also used a "roll away" for our older at the last hotel. It was really a twin bed. Again covered with flat sheets that were for a much larger bed.

Is it that difficult for hotels to keep correct sized sheets? I'm so thankful I packed a crib and pack n play sheet to use. I wouldn't have been comfortable using the linens we were provided.

What has your linen experience been with a hotel crib?
