They have nice cribs, huge rooms with a space to roll kids into between the two halves of the bathroom, and an amazing unimaginably cool kids' playroom. I think we also stayed at a double tree off Mich Ave once which was great!</p> <p>Mich Ave is where I'd stay. Late Oct could be anywhere from 70's and sunny to 30's and snow/wind. Sorry - its the midwest - we're unpredictable. Realistically I'd plan on chilly but still ok to walk around! Chicago has crazy wind - so whatever the weather says plan on it being windy!</p> <p>For getting around Cabs will be the best bet - the El is also available but in all my time in Chicago (2-3 times a year) we have hoofed it or cab'd it!</p> <p>Let me know if you want more recommendations on food/stuff to do! My sister lives there and we visit all the time! Navy Pier, the museum and the aquarium are all great!!! It was downtown by the river. We went in November last year, and one day was super warm, like light coats, and the next day it was pouring rain and absolutely freezing.</p> <p>ETA: the Langham was amazing with our toddler because it had enormous rooms and a fully equipped and crazy fun playroom.
