We just our regular steamer insert and blender. Sometimes, if I'm in a hurry, I just microwave some frozen fruits/veggies and use the hand masher. :) I freeze in little stackable Ziploc tupperware containers that I found at the store.

@MamaBehr: Please do come back and give a review on your baby bullet, because I have really been considering buying it, although most people try to convince me not to.

If we dont get the baby bullet, we will just get an easy to clean food processor or blender. And I will use our rice cooker to steam the veggies since it comes with a steamer tray

I have a Brezza, which I love. It makes making her food fun! Even now, LO is 1 year old, I still use it to steam things or chop things up...I like it!

We have a steamer, food processor, immersion blender etc so no special equipment necessary.

M's stomach is really sensitive so I wouldn't be comfortable giving her what we eat in the beginning since we cook with a lot of spices and seasonings.

I used the Beaba, because my intention was to make food fresh. Our freezer storage space is tiny so making big batches and freezing wasn't an option. I managed to do almost all freshly made food since last June. I use premade stuff on occasion, mostly when transporting and refridgeration are issues.

I still use the steamer portion of the Beaba for our dinner veggies, it's much easier than dragging out my huge steamer.

I've used several different things.

the baby bullet - this is nice and I love the storage options.

hamilton bebe hand blender- this works well too. It's very portable as well.

Ninja processor - I love this too! Especially since it's not a baby brand, I use it for all my food too.

Oster blender - this works too! And I use it for my smoothies every day.

We have the baby bullet brand steamer as well and it works great, however you can't fit much in. It's enough to make about 2-3 small servings (serving size for 5-6 mos old). A regular steamer would definitely make larger portions.

We have ice cube trays and the baby bullet ice tray with lid. I love both. We also have the baby bullet single serving pods that come in a pack of six and those are my favorite so far. The Dr. Browns stackable dishes are great as well.

We just kept it simple. We already have a blender, pots and a microwave and ice cube trays, and that has worked out great so far. So we didn't need to buy anything. We do a mix of homemade and store bought and LO has been happy with all of it. You may not need to buy specialized stuff.

We had the best of intentions but just ended up buying the organics at the store. Kiddo BF'd and the produce in our area was pathetic, so I let myself off the hook when it came to making baby food!

I received a baby bullet as a gift and used that. I steamed and/roasted and then pureed. I rarely strained anything though. I suggest buying silicone ice cube trays over the trays that come with the different baby food makers. They are a lot cheaper!

@cvbee: Make it as easy as possible on yourself. Motherhood is exhausting, it's more worth it to spend time with your baby than slave over the stove ;)

I figure he's just going to eat what I cook eventually anyway, so as long as it is baby appropriate (no nuts, dairy, chokable stuff, etc), he gets a lot of tastes of what we have.

We just mush up whatever we have that is baby appropriate on our plates. If we have green beans, I cook them a little extra and chop and mush. Obviously sweet potatoes are easiest, so we have those a lot.

If I have extra, I throw some into an ice cube tray and freeze it. I love having leftovers so I can do this.

When I'm pressed for time or traveling, I just pick up a few of those 2/a dollar Gerber tubs of food.

I used a regular steamer and I already had all sorts of things to blend. I have a magic bullet, but I like to make bigger batches so I also used the blended and immersion blender. And then I strained when she was tiny and then froze I ice cube trays.

I actually got the "Baby Bullet" today. I have a steamer already and just needed the food processor. I was going to buy a regular one, so that I can use it long after I have no use for baby food, but decided to go to the Baby Bullet because my closest friend loves the Magic Bullet.
