We combined our office and guest bedroom into one, and the nursery will be were our office used to be.

We currently have 4 bedrooms - master, guest, my office/craft room, DH's office/music room. We are going to change my office into the nursery, mainly because the current guest room is HUGE and we don't think a baby needs that much room, and DH has so much music equipment I have no idea where we would put it if we kicked him out of his room. We will definitely move my craft stuff into the guest bedroom.

Not sure where my office stuff will move. I need a good dedicated work space since I hope to work from home part time after baby. We are debating putting it in the corner of our bedroom, in the guest bedroom, making room in DH's office, or putting it in the living room. We have space in all of them except for DH's office.

We have a 2+ bedroom condo consisting of:

- Master bedroom
- Small bedroom (currently our office)
- An upstairs lofted bonus room that currently has a day bed, reading area, and upright small piano

We are going to bring the piano back to our MIL's, move our office upstairs, and make the office the nursery. The office is pretty small, but the prior owners had it set up as a nursery and easily fit a crib, dresser, bookshelf and glider. We'll do the same : )

By the time baby #2 arrives we likely will have sold our condo and moved into a house.

Excellent idea for a thread! You can always get new ideas from this kind of thread.

We have a three bedroom (master, nursery, closet). We made the smallest room the closet room, with the laundry and ironing board, I use it as the junk room also.

In the nursery, we have a sofabed, we've used it for guests and I use it if I need to sleep with our LO, like when he is sick.

We've talked about purchasing a day bed for the nursery. I figured I would use it to nurse at times and if needed extra guests could be stowed there. We also thought it could be used in the future as the child got older for their own bedding.

We have 4 bedrooms, master, two guest rooms & music room. When the baby comes the room across the hall will become the nursery.

People rarely stay with us, but if they did after we have kids then yes, that room would do double duty.

We have a 4 bedroom house, the master and 1 bedroom are upstairs, and 2 bedrooms (unfinished right now) are downstairs.
We are planning on finishing the 2 bedrooms downstairs prior to the baby arriving.
The guest room upstairs (close to our bedroom) will become a nursery, with crib, change table, and chair in it. Downstairs will be the 2 guest bedrooms, family/exercise room, bathroom and laundry.
When we have baby #2, we will move the older child downstairs, go down to 1 guest room, and keep the nursery upstairs.

We have a 3 bedroom house as well. One is our master, one is DH's man cave/office and the third will be the nursery. We have discussed buying a daybed for the nursery for guests, but that probably won't end up happening.

We have a 3 bedroom house and the current config is this:
1) master bedroom
2) office
3) guest bedroom

We're going to move the queen bed from the guest room into the office (it will be a TIGHT squeeze) and use the current guest room as a dedicated nursery. So it'll be:

1) master bedroom
2) office/guest room
3) nursery

We just bought our first house and it has three bedrooms. We set one of the spare bedrooms up as a guest bedroom and left the other one empty because we are ttc. I'm looking forward to the day that I get to use that room! We also have a study connected to our master bedroom so when we have a baby I'm going to put a bassinet in there for the first few months.

We have a 3 bdrm house, and we turned the smaller of the 2 other rooms into a nursery and have left the larger room as a guest room. When baby 2 arrives (you know, a few years after baby 1....) we'll move baby 1 into the current guest room and baby two will use the same nursery.

I don't know yet, we'll be moving the month before baby is due, into another two bedroom, Currently the second bedroom is our office/guest room. It will probably be guest room/baby, and the office will end up all over the apartment.

We currently have a 3 bedroom and 1 baby, so we already have a guest room.

When baby #2 comes though, I think we're getting rid of the futon and isaying "sorry " to anyone who wants to stay. Our parents both live nearby, and with two little ones I'd probably rather have people stay at a hotel anyway.

We used the smallest of our bedrooms for the nursery. We have 2 additional rooms that we will eventually "grow" into. As of right now we have a separate guest room. When we get pregnant with our second (not for a LONG while) we will transition our daughter to one of the other rooms, and then use the nursery again for the 2nd. Once that child is old enough we will transition that child to the other available room, if they want it, and then re-do the nursery as the guest room.

Currently it looks like our nursery is going to be inside our bedroom since we have a one bedroom apartment. we aslo have an empty dining room that I thought we could use for some of the baby stuff, but my husband doesnt like the idea; he thinks its too close to the kitchen

Is it a dedicated room for just the baby or is it a nursery plus guest room?

We currently have a bed in the room we are transitioning to a nursery and I was thinking about leaving it in there or getting a single for that room. It would make it easier if we had multiple guests (none of our family lives in town) or if we just want to sleep in the same room with the baby.
