He's coming off of 8 days with Pop Pop and Gaga (my parents). He wants to stay at home or with them instead of going to daycare. We had two bad mornings this week. Bribing him with donut holes to do what didn't take much before is the only thing working. I'm hoping that sleeping in and staying home on the weekend will help right the course.</p> <p>He visits his new daycare/preschool today and starts Monday with them. So, we're piling on change again. We're in an awesome stretch where she is communicating so well - I think for us, her vocabulary explosion was key to overcoming tantrums. Now that she can express her feelings in words, life is so much better. All the excitement of visiting family also resulted in a massive sleep deficit, which only got worse when we traveled back to NY and the kids were jetlagged.</p> <p>It all added up to some pretty awful behavior, not just at home but also at school. The kids finally made up most of the sleep deficit though, and thankfully everyone's behavior is much better. I think I'm permanently scarred though! Lately whenever I think the kids are behaving well, some illness or jetlag comes along and we end up playing 52 pickup with our parenting self-esteem!!</p> <p>How are your kids behaving lately? </p>
