Great! My 9 month old loves food! I could see her weaning early actually from nursing (and it makes me sad!) She doesn't like purees much, she will eat oatmeal cereal and applesauce once and a while, but prefers only diced/cut up finger food!

My 17 month old is not eating well. I don't even know if she is eating anything other than milk, and some fruit. Her lunch containers come back sometimes with more than half, and at dinner she only wants clementines. It is so frustrating, and I wish she would just eat so I'm not stressed all the time.

DD1 (almost 4) is an amazing eater. She is not particularly picky and eats a decent amount at every meal and snack. She'll typically try anything if you ask her to take a bite, although she will tell you if she doesn't like it.

DD2 (15mo) is a...particular...eater. She usually eats a huge breakfast and then gradually tapers over the course of the day to a small-ish dinner. I try to avoid dinner battles, so I serve what I serve, and she usually finds at least one thing that she fixates on and ignores/refuses everything else. Even when the "everything else" includes stuff she would happily eat at other times (e.g., mac-n-cheese, fruit, etc). So it's a little weird, but I'm not really concerned with volume or variety of food.

UGH my son has never been a big eater so it annoys me. He's 18 months and his weight is finally at a good place, so I try not to worry. I make him full plates of food at every meal, so his meal rejections are super frustrating. On top of that, he's a creature of habit and routine, so he screams for breakfast and dinner at the appropriate times, but then wont eat! Its so annoying.

For breakfast, he has maybe some fruit and a little milk and steals some yogurt from DH. Throws the eggs, sausage, and pancakes I've made him on the floor.

He apparently eats like a horse at daycare and they can get him to eat copious amounts of everything and anything, so I guess I can take some solace in that. They give him snacks, lunch, and a heavier snack at 3pm consisting of yogurt and cereal.

Dinner is totally hit or miss, but since he eats a lot at daycare, he usually isn't super eager for dinner. He might have a bit more milk at this meal than at other times of day. He usually likes rice, some kind of ground meat or sausage, and sometimes I can get him to eat some boiled carrots. He gets fruit every night for dessert or occasionally a Fig Newton.

He looooves fruit, but you gotta mix it up so he doesn't get sick of it. The most consistent fruits he likes are clementines and bananas.

He always wants to nosh on something after dinner, so he usually gets water, clementine sections, and maybe some puffs while he's roaming around the house. I really hate that, but I guess snacking on the go can't really be avoided completely.

@snowjewelz: I just cut him off in the fruit dept. He would eat pints of fruit at each sitting, which makes for problematic diaper changes!

We have left-over cupcakes from Xander's birthday party, so he's eating like a champ because he knows he has to finish his dinner if he's going to have a shot at having a cupcake after!

Logan isn't really into food... at all...

Oh my gosh, he is eating so well these days! I'm sure I just jinxed myself by saying that, lol. But for example today for breakfast he ate some steel cut oatmeal, a toast with peanut butter and jam, strawberries, and some soymilk. Later he ate a couple of my almonds. Last night at dinner he ate rice and dal, broccoli, and salad. He kept snagging my peppers! He must be having a growth spurt

DS1 can be a bird. He LOVES to snack. Barely eats breakfast, but usually eats a pretty big lunch. He's almost 4.

DS2 eats and eats and eats all day. Anything. I love this stage. He's almost 15m.

DD is hot and cold with solids. One day she'll eat 2 full Gerber third foods twice a day. The next day she doesn't want to eat anything. She does tend to like to have bites of what we are eating.

LO 1 is eating pretty well right now. (Knock on wood!) She isn't picky about anything but she just eats sloooow.

LO 2 is picky about everything and takes forever to eat a few bites. She loves milk!

LO 3 is having fun with trying solids. I want her to nurse or take more in her bottles during the day but she is too distracted...even in a silent room!
