I have one gate at the top of the stairs that's always open now b/c my 3 y.o. is more careful now. I'll start using it again once my little one is on the move. Otherwise, just cabinet locks on most of the cabinets and some door knob locks as well. I do need to strap that 63" plasma (glass!) down or mount it though! When my oldest was younger he could not even reach it. Now he can and he likes to play rough sometimes. He's generally careful. Who knows what my youngest is going to be like....

I have a post on this in the morning! Our house is very babyproof so that our kids came roam freely on the main floor. The door to the basement is closed with a cat door cut into it (too small for babies, but keeps the cat from getting trapped up here).

Highly. That way I don't have to watch her every second. My toddler is a tiny curious climbing monkey, and is in to everything all the time.

We're still in the process, but I think we're in pretty good shape for a newborn. We took our safe baby class yesterday which gave us a good idea of the things we'll need to work on in our house.

One of the tricky things we have to deal with is the open floor plan. I want to make sure that baby can roam freely, which means baby-proofing rooms like the dining room and my office!

@T-Mom: aww!! poor baby!!!

We have a table we'd been using as our coffee table that DS LOVES to crawl through. IT's so funny though because then he gets stuck and all you see is this baby butt sticking out omg I love it. but for his safety I stuffed two pillows in there and now he doesn't climb in it anymore. I'm thinking of getting him a tunnel for Christmas!

We never baby proofed for the older one, except the latches on the cabinets that had chemicals.

He never did anything major to injure himself. We don't plan to baby proof for Jax unless we see behavior that makes us do so.

We need to do more.. Yesterday DS got his head stuck between the railings (apparently it's not up to code) and I had to yank his head out and he cried. Guess I have to get one if those ugly plastic things to cover all the railings..

Ours is pretty baby proofed. LO knows she's not supposed to climb up on tables/chairs, but she still does occasionally. :P

We haven't done much, just the stairs. We've been able to teach DD what she can and cannot touch.

Ours is decently baby proofed. We live in a one-level so it's awesome not to have to worry about stairs.

We still have to secure the TV And a bookcase to make it completely safe. I love that I can let DS roam freely now that he's crawling and not really worry about anything :)
