My feet hardly touch the ground in most chairs since I'm short, so I sit crossed legged all the time. We had house guests a few weekends ago and I did a major cleaning session and my ankles looked like elephant ankles when I was done. They don't seem to swell on days I go to the gym and I try to go out for a walk on off days so that has helped. The only remedy is elevating my feet above my heart, which means I either need to be laying down or sitting in a "V" shape on the couch with my feet propped up on a chair with pillows. </p> <p>I've been in the office all day and then we have a 4 hour childbirth class tonight, so I won't be able to get this swelling under control anytime soon. It is so uncomfortable! </p>
