I moved our LO into her own room after two days at home.

LO sleeps in a creaky wicker bassinette and makes a lot of noise when she sleeps so I wasn't sleeping well because I was forever listening for her. Now that she sleeps in the next room I can hear her cry if she needs me but I sleep through all her grunting etc!

With Wagon Jr. we both slept better when he was not in our room! The first night we moved him into the nursery (at 4 weeks) he slept 6 hours straight for the first time in his life.

With LMW the results are mixed, but I definitely sleep better when she's not in the room. We didn't move her out until after 3 months due to space constraints, but we were sleeping in the living room so she wouldn't get too used to us being in the same room. I do think she probably does better in the nursery.

Wasn't hard! We moved him at 1 month because he was a very noisy sleeper. Now, his room is right next to ours and we can hear every little thing anyways. So, now we sleep with his door closed (and ours open). We all slept better in separate rooms. And my son sleeps better in his crib than he ever did in the P&P or R&P.

I never was an insane worrier at night though. I was a little more anxious when he started belly sleeping (there was nothing we could do, he automatically rolls to his belly when he sleeps).

It was awesome for everyone. Both LO and DH are light sleepers, so having her in our room was harder because everyone could hear all the little noises that everyone was making. When LO was in her own room, we all slept much, much better.

It was tougher on me than on her. I was up every hour checking on her. I still check on her here and there. I've gotten better, knowing that she is okay, but I am paranoid!

Do you check on him in his bassinet even though he's right there? I used to...the bassinet was right next to the bed but I still checked on him a lot. If so, I'd say it will be harder on you than him. :(

I am considering moving my son to his own room. Right now he sleeps in our room in a pack and play and I think the spot I have to keep his pack and play is too chilly and he wakes a lot. Was moving the baby to his/her own room tough? Was it harder on the mom or baby?
