i can usually bounce back in a few days if it's only like 3-6 hours. we actually have an old book from the 80s, the jetlag diet, that's supposed to really help. if i ever fly somewhere like australia, i would try it.

I used to go back to Asia once a year... I think the key is to just suck it up the first few days. It helped when I worked since I have to stay awake during the day! My dad travels a lot for work, and I can see that age makes it harder & harder to deal w/ jet lag.

We're just back from an 8 hour time change - totally fine both ways for all of us! We have a 9 month old. Just a bit of light sleeping or short MOTN wake-ups for baby, and I am up early, but only because I can never get back to sleep when I get woken up. The only real time change struggle I had was 12 hours - that one took a couple of days!

I'm not a person that needs tons of sleep so i'm okay usually.

I am usually a mess going to Europe, but coming back to the US, I am okay. It still takes my son about 3 days to adjust in either direction for about a 6 hour time difference.

It doesn't seem to affect me at all but DH is terrible. It took him around a week to get back on track after we went to Mexico (11hrs).

Not to badly thankfully. Usually just a couple of days for me either way (eastward or westward). DH has a harder time. For LO it was just one or two nights but he was still really small (5/6m).

It's always easy to adjust when we get to our destination. But it's a lot harder when we get back. We just got back from visiting my parents in LA and it took the kids a couple of days to get back on track.

When we visit Mr. Bee's parents in the Philippines (12 hours ahead), it takes the kids at least a week to get back on track. It can take us a month! It's pretty torturous.
