We have an acre plus and a corner lot. There is a cornfield on the other side (10 acres) that we explore a little bit too. We have some of the yard fenced in but that's mainly for the dog. Last year we put an above ground pool in that section and are considering doing that again. Climate here is not conducive to an in-ground pool.

We have a parking lot 😂

We have a park with a playground, soccer fields, running track and splashpad directly across the street and a bike path that runs next to our parking lot. Lots of outdoor fun, despite not having a yard.

They have about 1/4 of an acre of outdoor playspace. Fenced in yard + swing set, paved driveway, and a creek filled with amazing critters!! 😂 (The other day we found crawfish, salamanders and we added some fishies). 😳👍🏻

I'm not sure how big it is in terms of acreage... Maybe a quarter? It's 75 ft by 200 ft but backs onto hundreds of acres of trails and green space. Our lot is fenced in so he has the whole place to play. We love it.

ETA: just did the math. A smidge over 1/3 or an acre.

Right now she enjoys crawling around on our balcony which is like... not a whole lot bigger than a crib. Once we finish getting the yard cleaned up for the summer there will be that for her, which is like maybe 400 sq ft or so. We also have a shared paved courtyard in the front of our townhome where the neighborhood kids play a lot in nice weather and that's like maybe 50 yards long and 10 yards wide. For roaming, we're a 10-minute walk from a gorgeous park/playground that's almost 3 acres.

We live on several acres, much of which is wooded. We also have a large fenced in backyard. I can't wait until we can build forts and make trails with the kids

An acre. Wow. That exists only on the outskirts of our city. We have a tiny backyard mostly taken by pool. LO has a 7x10 grass area and an area double that that has a table and some lounge chairs, plus a narrow area outside the pool fence. Pretty small... But like I said in the other thread he plays all day at school and there are multiple parks and grassy areas nearby.

Not that big. Like the size of our living room. But we have s neighborhood playground 2 doors down and several other close parks so we don't care much. Big yard=big maintenance to me!

I'm not sure in the new house. It's all grass and seems to be alot of it! The front has a nice big driveway, but we're one of the first houses on the main road of our subdivision. I'll have to teach LO to stay in the driveway and off the street!

Our current house's backyard was taken up mostly by the patio and pool. There were two areas that had green space, but it wasn't ideal for just keeping an eye out on a LO for independent play.

I have no idea how big our backyard is.. But to me it's plenty of space! Since DD is still young-ish, we are going to put her slide and play house on the deck so we have an easier time watching her. And also I realized the ground isn't super even/flat so DD trips a lot haha. So the yard will be where her kiddie pool is, plus a paved section where our grill and dining set is at.

We have a patio that is very small (about the size of a living room). So far she hasn't really played much back there yet though. We also have a small park right next to our house, a playground a half block away, and three more playgrounds within easy walking distance.

Our yard is teeny tiny, but i don't mind. The kids still have enough room to run around and play. I think big yards are a bit overrated in my city since we only have nice weather a few months out of the year. I love going to the local playgrounds and socializing with the neighbours.

We have one twentieth of an acre including our house.
The yard is small but there is a large park with a playground, hockey rink, pool with a big slide, kiddie pool, and running track on our block.

We also have an acre of land. Most of it is grass, but we have a large deck, a patio, and woods way behind our house. Our house is on a side road so we can walk down it safely and ride bikes. One side of our property is on a busy road, so we are starting to price out fences.

Our yard is about an acre, which is mostly the back yard luckily since we don't play in the front since the road can get busy since it's off a main road. We have a decent size driveway that goes towards the back yard so the girls have all that space to ride bikes, play chalk, etc. They can run the whole back yard as well. I just wish it was fenced in!
