She dropped a lb in the first couple days, she was 9lbs10oz at 4 days old when we brought her home. </p> <p>She wore NB for 2 1/2 weeks. She was tiny in newborn stuff, and then at about 4-5 weeks they were way too small. We didn't have any newborn things at all, expecting her to be super long like the rest of our families and both DH and me, but she surprised us. We ended up getting 3 or 4 button or zip up sleepers, and maybe 5 of those nightgown type ones that have the elastic at the bottom. The outfits with feet attached I think she was out of by 3 or 4 weeks. DD is quite tall and rather thin so it was great to have a few outfits that weren't swimming on her. She was 8lb 12oz at her 2 week checkup, and by that point had outgrown NB size clothes. I wouldn't buy any NB clothes, they grow out of them so quickly.</p> <p>Also, she quickly outgrew some of her 0-3 size clothes. My breastfed baby was 8 pounds at 4 months. She does fit into some 0-3 month clothes but not a lot - really only Mud Pie stuff which is notorious for running small. So, who knows. She fit into newborn clothes for maybe two weeks and newborn diapers for about three. I would just start using 0-3 month clothing. We were using 0-3 month when she was five days old. Now she is 2 months old exactly and is well into 3 month clothing and she was 9lbs15oz last week so she is about 10 some pounds now. I wouldn't bother buying anymore newborn clothes honestly, it was like over night she all the sudden outgrew them all.
