I've had a lot for weeks and what you describe sounds just like them. I'll also have days where my belly just feels really tight most of the time, which I guess isn't classically braxton hicks, because they're supposed to have a beginning and an end, but I've kind of lumped all of this together in the "braxton hicks" category in my mind :)

@grizz: sounds like my BH contractions. I've had a lot of them on a pretty consistent basis especially when I'm walking.

@GreenThumb: I am 36 weeks and i've gotten a sprinkling of these here and there for the last few weeks, but today they've been non-stop! I'm kind of hoping they're BH because I was wondering why I wasn't having any :)

Sounds a lot like what I've been calling BH contractions now at 33 weeks. I think I felt the first one a couple of weeks ago, and now have noticed them on and off every couple of days.

When I get them I feel the tightening really low (below my underwear line). Like Pepper, mine usually last for 30 seconds or so and are just uncomfortable.

A lot of times only portions of my belly get hard during a BH. Mine last for about 30 seconds. It's an increasing feeling of tightening, and then it releases. They haven't been painful, just uncomfortable. Now at 32 weeks they are starting to get more and more uncomfortable.

Yeah that sounds like BH. Does it come on after you've been active? They can also start if you're not drinking enough water. My mw told me to drink a glass of water and lay on my left side and they should go away.

My LO always kicks a ton after a BH contraction. It's like she got squished and she's protesting :)

My belly feels super tight today, with intermittent periods where it feels rock hard. I really can't tell if its BH contractions or just the baby shoving around because he's out of room to really kick. I wouldn't say my entire belly gets hard, but probably 3/4 of it does.
