I had one miscarriage at 9 weeks, I didn't even know I was pregnant till I was about 6 weeks along. Then I had two successful pregnancies and then one more miscarriage at about 6 weeks. The last one may have been due to low progesterone or just the fact that I was over 40 and my egg quality isn't great.

I had a miscarriage but they didn't know how far along I was. I went in for an annual and they told me the test came back very faint so it was either very new or I would miscarry shortly. It started within a couple days. I had one successful pregnancy prior to that and two successful pregnancies afterwards.

Only one pregnancy that resulted in twins. No miscarriages for me, fortunately. DH's mom did tell me she had two miscarriages before giving birth to him and his younger sister. One was before 12 weeks, the other was around 5 months pregnant. DH's sister also suffered a miscarriage last year at 11 weeks.

@MrsHansen82: The doctor thinks, at this point, it's just a case of bad luck. Both losses were very different, so it really isn't a pattern. With my first loss, I wouldn't have known if I didn't test so early, my period was only a day late. My OB said if I have another in a row, then they will start investigating.

All of my pregnancies have ended in MC. (So far...) And that's 3. But clearly there is something wrong with me, so I hope that doesn't scare anyone. I think one can be considered "normal" and no one should be too worried (although I know how devastating it is) if they have one. Not trying to downplay that at all, but I don't think it definitely means anything is wrong with you.

In the four or so months that I have been TTC, I have had two. I had a chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks and was diagnosed with a blighted ovum today at 10 weeks and 1 day. I have my first D & C on Monday. My body and mind has been through a lot, so we are taking 2-3 months off. I never imagined I would have two pregnancies and no babies, but I know many have been through far more than me and I am very blessed that I can get pregnant easily (out of three months TTC, I got KU twice.) It's hard to feel blessed right now in the thick of it, but I am trying to be grateful for that. I just really want to be a mom.

Yes, several. My OB told me she delivers the bad news about m/c at least once a day in her practice. It is estimated that 50% of all conceptions end in m/c. Of course a lot of those are probably super early and not even noticed unless you are really paying attention.

I've had two miscarriages occur within 6 months of each other - one a blighted ovum that ended with a d&c after waiting 3 weeks to miscarry naturally and one chemical. Both of them occurred after getting pregnancy on first try and successfully delivering my eldest. After the chemical we conceived our second child two months later. Prior to having a miscarriage I had heard about a few friends that had them and also read about ladies on HB that went through the horrible ordeal but always had a sense of denial that it won't happen to me. Then it did. Twice. And it tore my heart out. I felt so alone the first time and was ashamed to talk about it then I felt angry that I was ashamed. So I began talking to friends about it. To make it less of a taboo topic. And you know what? I felt better after talking about it and hopefully my friends will also realize it shouldn't be a taboo topic.

My first pregnancy I found out I was having twins, and the next day I miscarried. I don't think everyone should be expecting a m/c, but it's certainly not something you should assume won't happen to you. I was 18.

I haven't had a miscarriage. I don't plan to get pregnant again, so I'm not anticipating that I will ever have one, but of course there is always a change of getting pregnant.

I don think it's a sure thing it will happen.but I do think the percentage of pregnancies ending in miscarriage is higher than most believe.
