@junebugsmama: It definitely took me a while to not wake up fully to nurse while cosleeping. I now usually just drift off to sleep while LO nurses, providing he doesn't mess around (like last night, coming off the boob every 3 seconds, argh!). We don't have a nursery, but yes, going back and forth to one multiple times a night would probably end me!!

@junebugsmama: oh man! def sucks when you were used to STTN! DD never really STTN consistently so I'm not experiencing anything dramatically worse!

@snowjewelz: he was sleeping through the night for over 6 weeks! Much harder to go back to the wake ups. Then came growth spurt, sleep regression, travel, shots, april, may, who knows!!!

@junebugsmama: Haha same. She did STTN that way a few times but she was already in our bed to begin with since I nurse her to sleep and then am usually too afraid to move her! She did start her night in the crib for a while, but I find myself restless too constantly checking the monitor!

@snowjewelz: I am ok with co sleeping, but I want it to be for second half (or less!) of night. Like he would do a long stretch in crib and then come to bed with me around 4-5. A girl can dream!

@junebugsmama: The worst is when they don't want to go back to sleep! I've had a few of those so far MOTN... Wakes up, nurse both sides and wide awake! I cosleep... It's uncomfortable but for now easier than having to get up all the time, go to her room to get her, etc. I learned to somehow sleep, as uncomfortable as it is haha! But it will also be a pain to move her back to the crib later!

@bunnylove08: so cute. @ValentineMommy: coffee time!
@miramira: I started cosleeping more consistently on vacation last week, and I felt like my sleep was so crappy with all those nursing wake ups! Then we went back to his crib and even 2-3 physical wake ups walking the 10 ft to nursery and sitting in glider for 20 min was way more tiring !

@snowjewelz: it's so hard! I hate the regression. He woke up at 1030, and I tried 2x (nursing both sides twice) to get him back down and his dad tried twice ( bouncing him to sleep) but the second his head hit the crib, he'd fuss again. So to bed with me, and he woke every 2h to nurse. Then up at 6 but seemed tired still!

my DD (2.5) cried as usual not wanting to go to sleep. I let her cry for a bit and then went to her and picked her up. She told me she was tired so I put her in her bed and she asked to hide and I told her to put her blanket on her head. She was out like a light.

Same old same old.. Takes 1+ hr and nursing twice to go down.. Then up at 2am, up at 5am then didn't want to sleep till 6am and even then woke up one hour later... I just feel bad b/c she didn't even get her usual 10 hrs. I don't know if this is still her 4mo regression (she's almost 5 mo), or teething, or what!

DS was tougher to put down that normal, but probably because it was just me and daddy wasn't home. Ugh. So tired this morning.

Our LO is, I guess, going through some separation anxiety just now. He's started panic-crying if DH or I are out of sight for a second. He used to wake up every 2hrs at night in his crib, but now it's every 10-40min, even though the crib's attached to our bed! He wants to be snuggled up with his mama! Co-sleeping has been amazing; I no longer feel like I have a permanent hangover from lack of sleep.

C'mon, babies! Evolve to fit into this modern world already!

My little lady is a wee bit out of control. I'm hoping she just tires herself out soon.

Phew. My 4m old was not easy to put down. As a matter of fact I am not even confident he's asleep "for good" (aka until who knows what time, sometimes only 2 hours!)

He had a nice bath, but everything went downhill from there. He is in the 4 m sleep regression in a bad way, and it seemed to be finally getting better but yesterday morning he had his shots and he's been so sad and uncomfortable! Today was definitely better than yesterday so I'll try to be optimistic that tonight will go well!

In my dreams: he'll sleep till 4 or 5 and go right back to sleep after eating
I'd be happy with: he'll sleep till 12 or 1 and go right back to sleep after eating
But he very well may: wake up at 1030 or so, and I won't be able to get him back to bed, so we will cosleep. He'll actually get decent rest with fussy wake ups every 2-3 hours (every 1h close to morning).

Wish me luck and that my in dreams scenario comes true! After all the cluster feeding I'd still wake up overflowing milk everywhere!
