However, because DH got home before me with LO, I had to leave the ice cream cake in the hallway of our apartment so he wouldn't see. Luckily they were finishing up supper and as soon he got up to get dessert, i retrieved the cake and said I brought dessert home for us and handed it to him. He definitely lit up and was pleasantly happy/surprised. But then he told me he could tell from the moment I walked in the door that I was acting strange and he guessed in his head I might be pregnant but didn't say anything because he had no proof, LOL! I guess i am not so good at hiding things! It was still fun and I have this nice picture as a memento. He was confused but then excited but he was also bummed that I took it in private and didn't tell him. He imagined we'd do it together and he felt like he missed out.<br /> All of the other times I told him right away. After losses, the magic of finding out was lost a bit. I never felt, after that like I could say, "you're going to be a dad!" We were on a weekend trip away so I took it early when I first woke up to pee, like 6am, then came out saying "Well, I think it's one of those evaporation lines, I'm pretty sure it's not positive," and he was like "Uh, that's a line," LOL! </p> <p>So, I took a different test about 9am that was definitely positive and we knew! Tried to tell DH that I'll explain when we're properly awake, but he wouldn't go back to sleep till I told him. And then he just totally lit up. So sweet!</p> <p>This time, I ran back to him, told him, and begged him to calm me down because I was having a panic attack that the baby won't make it. Because I saw the :bfp: but I wasn't glowing like I was with DS. I had JUST gotten off the pill and hadn't even had a period yet, so it happened faster than we were expecting and I was nervous to tell him (though he knew I was off the pill). I'd found out that morning and waited until evening and just blurted it out on our walk (it was 9-10pm).</p> <p>Time 2-- I got dd2 a "big sister" shirt and had her go climb on the bed and wake him up. I got it on video tape! We had been ttc and we were all so excited and laughing!</p> <p>Time 3-- I was completely blindsided and cried all day when I found out. I just told dh that night when we were laying in bed. I got into bed and showed him the test at like 5am. </p> <p>This time...I was in shock, lol. It was only our second month TTC. He got home from work around 11pm, and I was in bed and just said "So I'm pregnant" and thrust the test at him. Nothing fun at all! </p>
